Sexy lingerie in the wardrobe is a great idea for all women. It is not just about the men in our lives, it is about making ourselves look good and feel fantastic. The great thing is there are so many styles, shapes, colours and designs of beautiful lingerie available these days, that their truly is something for everyone. Here are a few of the things to consider when buying lingerie.

Styles

There are so many styles available in sexy lingerie that it is possible to match every body shape and size to something appropriate. It is not just for women with curves in all the right places, but for fuller figured women, busty women and plus size women as well.

Apart from many different styles in bras, underpants and hosiery, there are other lingerie styles to choose from. These include babydolls, corsets, bustiers and bodysuits. Some styles will fit snugly to the body while others will be a looser fit. It is also possible to buy sets of lingerie that incorporate several items in different styles. This is one of my favourites as it means I can mix and match to my heart’s content.

Fabrics

Sheer, soft, shiny, clingy or floaty – there is such a gorgeous range of fabrics that are used in lingerie it can be hard to decide. They all feel and look great but it is important to choose a fabric that feels comfortable and sexy. Some people prefer fabrics like lycra or spandex, others prefer the floaty feel of chiffon or mesh.

Colour

Thankfully, white, ivory and black are not the only colours available in lingerie anymore. There are so many wonderful, rich colours in every shade and hue imaginable. Lace, embroidery and other adornments add even more choices. I always go for colours that suit my complexion, while also having a few sexy, basic black and red options in the wardrobe.

Occasion

Obviously lingerie worn to work will need to be different to that which is purely for the bedroom. While it is still possible to wear sexy lingerie to work, it will need to be worn under other clothing. As a result, closer fitting lingerie styles in fabrics suitable for all day wear may be the most practical. I recommend investing in some lingerie to wear this way as it makes you feel great, confident and attractive right through the day. Who would have thought lingerie could have such a great benefit, but it does!

Once at home, there are no lingerie rules. Now it is possible to wear anything, so make sure there are some less ‘functional’ lingerie items in the wardrobe as well.
